This is the old Shakespear Forgings site, established here in 2002. It moved to it's new drop forging plant in 2007, a few miles down the road.
I couldn't find any History on what the site was previous to that.

Shakespeare Forgings is part of EL FORGE Group of Forging Companies with operations in Chennai and Hozur India, as well as the Shakespeare Forgings' operation in the West Midlands. We are major suppliers to 1st and 2nd tier automotive component companies as well as a host of other market sectors.

Shakepseare Forgings offers both local manufacture or globally competitive forgings from its sister companies in India. Shakespeare Forgings is based in Cradley Heath, West Midlands and utilises a wealth of experienced tradesmen and an extensive local support network. It offers flexibility and short lead times and is capable of supplying both small and large volume requirements. Machined and plated components can be supplied in partnership with local subcontractors.

Competitively priced products can also be sourced through El Forge, India. El Forge have recently commissioned a new green field site with 6 press hammer production lines complete with in line heat treatment facility. This represents a huge investment in the future and demonstrates the Group’s intention to be a world class manufacturer and compete on the Global stage. The new plant situated in Chennai is best suited for high volume, for lower volume or larger forgings we have the Hozur plant also available.
