The Visit
Visited with @Bigian88 while we were close by.. not much I can say about this place, its totally destroyed although for some strange reason I really enjoyed wandering about there

The History
Sheffield Ski Village was an artificial ski slope complex in the Parkwood Springs area of Sheffield, England until destroyed by fire in 2012. It was believed to be the largest artificial ski resort in Europe with a sports shop, bar, restaurant and a range of slopes which include a Snowflex nursery slope, a dendix recreational slope and a freestyle park consisting of a half pipe, hip jump, kicker, a quarter pipe and various grind rails. The Sheffield Ski Village was also one of the main training grounds for the Yorkshire Freestyle Squad and many professional freestyle skiers.

Since the initial fire, the site has remained closed to the public aside from a brief attempt by the Sharks Ski Club to hold sessions in May 2012, which were stopped when the ski lift motors and power ancillaries were stolen. The site has stood derelict and has been blighted by significant fly tipping, theft and vandalism ever since.

some nice shots there mate, We went last year, we climbed the hill only to see that pikey's had taken root near @Will Knot 's bat mobile, so straight back down we went, I've never seen him run so fast as he did that day

We spotted the caravans at the bottom near the entrance but didnt see anyone in or around them

Woa do i smell an epic skateboard park or bmx skills lol. Looks like some nice slopes etc once cleared a bit.

Nylon brush on the netting,it works by sprinklers wetting that stuff and you slide on it (minimal resistance and grip)

Is there anything left.. christ it truly is fucked.

Still can't belive how much fun we had here 3-4 years ago when it actually fucked it down with Snow. Absolute carnage up there.. people on dinghys the lot.
