Info:
This site was made famous as the filming location for the 1997 movie The Full Monty, after attracting fans from all over the world, the club sadly closed in 2018 and became a target for vandals and thieves. There had been multiple fires and one as recent as this month.
An application to bulldoze it to make way for flats was rejected by Sheffield Council in 2020, after more than 1,000 people signed a petition to save the club, but this wasn't expected to save it for long.
Although plans have now been agreed to convert the club into a boxing gym, youth centre, and sports bar. With the club's members being prepared to help with the cost of adapting the concert room.

I'd been wanting to see this one for some time but with no sneaky way in I'd been put off. In the end, I got lucky and access was pretty easy, but after finding out about the fires it made sense. There was a tone of vandalism and wasn't anything left untouched. That being said, there was actually still a lot left in there and it was quite a fun one to look around with the place's link to the movie. I couldn't figure out what bits were used for filming while there, but after later research I was able to identify the main function room.
Didn't take long to cover everything, but could have easily spent a few hours looking at details. There was a nice office/ meeting room on itself upstairs, with a huge wooden table. Close to there you could see the old ceiling that had been long since covered.
Thanks for taking a look!
