HISTORY
Solid fuel mine, now abandoned.
THE VISIT
After having to spend the best part of 9 weeks in the home country, it was nice to actually get back out again and do something constructive (rather than dodging through old Irish metal mines with their abundance of false floors and stopes) !

2. The run off bar to stop stray drams hurtling down the drift
3. Coal mine refuge to avoid passing drams

6. Electrics control panel
7. Going further down the drift
8. Air door and pipes

13. Ventilation cross cut complete with breaking pit props
