Speedwell Baths closed to the public in 2005 despite a lack of local alternatives as it was deemed inefficient. There is limited information available, but it looks to have first opened in 1937.

Was quite a quick one this and not many pictures, but fun nonetheless. An imposing sight from the front, it may have looked more welcoming in the day.
Despite the metal boarding, a surprising amount of light gets through to inside - mostly from the large skylights.
The place is in generally good condition inside.
This was one of the changing rooms.
There was a good size basement containing the boiler, I think vw got some shots of it.
