We had a few hours left spare untill we needed to catch the return ferry so we decided to check out a rumor we had heard on a 'Spillers Mill, Waterford'
What a rumor! arriving in Waterford it was clear where we needed to be, the line of derelict millage along the dockside was impossible to miss. Access was surprisingly easy and we spent a couple of hours rather franticly trying to get around the whole site before ferry time.
Ive titled the report Spillers but the mills were probably owned by different companys. Spillers is what everyone we met (including a rather nice couple from an Irish exporing group who were also having a mooch) called it. There were several blocks of silos, a block which appeared to be a maltings and a stunning traditional flour mill that was somthing like a cross between Rank Hovis in Hull and Millenium Mills in London. We saw it all apart from one silo block.
