Built 1898 for the the Lancashire, Derbyshire and East Coast Railway. In 1907 it became part of the GCR it's 496 yards and closed in 1967. at the Northen portal theres flooding about 2ft deep. Looks like someone has had a party in there, because there's loads and loads of beer bottles. There are dozens of little empty CO2 bulbs. Visited with explorer dog Binky.
