A good mix of decayed and clean industry here and the whole experience was a great adventure in itself.
This power station was built for the Celanese plant, most of its power went directly to the plant and only a little was actually supplied to the grid. Finally closed in 2012 along with Celanese.

Boiler House..
The boiler house for Spondon H was decommissioned long before the plant closed. The reason for this is because these services were replaced by Derwent Power Station right next door, which ran the turbines still inside Spondon H before that too closed with Celanese.
