Spruce Court, Salford - February 2014
Visited with Hidden, Lauren, Morse and Millhouse
Completed in 1969, Spruce Court is just a big, fat, block of residential flats in Salford. It's sister, Thorn Court, sits adjacent and just offset to Spruce - and the two are the tallest of the blocks in the area. I'd spotted the box hoists surrounding it plenty of times, but never really had any ambition of bothering with it until we were stuck for ideas one night. A long and awkward climb ensued, but at 20+ floors, in the end, it was a decent place to sit and have a chat - with decent views of the city centre, Salford and Media City on the surrounding horizons.
