History
St. David’s was an Edwardian Era hotel in Harlech, Wales. The building was located on the A496, adjacent to Theatr Harlech (formerly called Theatr Ardudwy) on the campus of Coleg Harlech, and Royal St David’s Golf Club.
The St. David’s Hotel is based on proposals drawn-up in January 1907 by George Walton (Architect), a Glasgow School architect and contemporary of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The proposals were subsequently revised in 1908, and the hotel was built in 1910.
In 1922, a devastating fire destroyed the interior of the Hotel, so that Walton’s original design commission has been lost.
The hotel closed in 2008 and has laid derelict since
The explore
Having re visited Denbigh earlier in the day and it being rammed with a few groups of explorers, chavs and gypos we decided to head further afield. We drove over the tops and checked out Trawsfynydd Nuclear power station which I think is still being decomissioned and was lit up to the nines. We decided to head over to Bron Y Garth hospital then down to Harlech.
The College was well sealed. Well I spotted a way in but I wasnt risking the drop for such a derp so I had a swift shit in a bush and moved on LOL
The hotel
and college had been re boarded by the council in March and were pretty well sealed to be fair. Non the less I found a way in.
Mega trashed as previous reports have shown, an absolute death trap in places but worth a little nosey. It looks like the Toyota dealership across the road are using the grounds as storage.
Onto the pics, the place is a proper derp so I wasnt too arsed about the pics so shot everything handheld and in torch light mega high iso but here's some pics to document the state of the place at the mo.
The lift was quite impressive but sadly smashed to bollocks. There were some pretty interesting carpets too but as before most of the flooring has been removed. It's had the usual dicks in scrawling devil bollocks and ouija boards etc everywhere
couldve done with these to help the mrs get in but they were too big to get out of that room.
