These derilict factories lie on the banks of the river Lune in Lancaster and are soon to be demolished, so we thought we'd snap a few last photos before they are gone forever. With a bit of research we narrowed the original purpose of these buildings to probably being part of an an oilcloth manufacturers, originally built in 1855 and owned by James Williamson (source).
I've highlighted in yellow on this 1913 map the buildings which we explored; the rest of this site and the other factories further along the river have now been completely demolished as part of the Luneside East Regeneration Project.
