Report - St John the Babtist School, Wigan - June 2016

First report for a while as I have had 'computer issues' or rather my computer was having issues & only just got a new one so got a backlog of reports to post, will kick off with this one, visited with @vxer13 who had been before, a proper enthusiastic explorer & ace exploring buddy, cheers for showing me around this one mate was a nice little explore & thoroughly enjoyed it. Excuse the lousy photography skills but I've found it's always easier to see where you could of done better when you're sat at home looking back through your photos, and had been out of action for a couple of months.

History,
All I can find at the minute is that it was closed in the 90s to make way for another school, will add more history when I find it.

Somebody refuses to conform by writing on blackboards, good for you mate

Sex education in Wigan hasn't changed much over the years

@urblex there had already been a small fire when we went hadn't there? Place stank of like old fire..

Yeah remember the smell but don't really remember seeing many burnt bits, was there a small bit of fire damage in the main hall bit where we entered? Memory isn't very clear on it to be honest mate : It certainly wasn't fire damaged enough to ruin the explore

Yeah there was a small amount of fire damage, looked like where the curtains would have been,

This was like a week before we went...

Yeah mate, been trying to look for fires here in the news but not found anything recent, if that's the only fire damage it's still worth a visit
