I explored St John's College early 2024, it was demolished in mid-late 2024, and it turned out to be one of the best exploration locations in Portsmouth. The college, which was a secondary school for local students, had a long history and stood out due to its unique architectural style and well-preserved condition. The main part of the college, known as "the Firme," offered an incredible experience for urban exploration. The college officially closed in 2022 due to financial constraints and declining student numbers, which made its continued operation unsustainable. Although the main section has been demolished, there are still a few Grade II listed buildings on the site, which highlight the site's historical and architectural significance. The redevelopment of the site is being carried out by the Nicolas James Group, who are planning projects that may include residential housing or mixed-use spaces. It stood out as a prime spot for urban exploration in the area before the site underwent significant changes. Shame its gone now though.
