HISTORY
There was a Norman Church on the site but it was replaced with the current church by Sir Richard Glyn in 1860. This is one of only 7 churches in England dedicated to St Kenelm, a Saxon boy murdered at the age of seven.
VISIT
I happened to be passing by on my way to Wimborne and decided to stop for a look around. I did visit here about 2 years ago in the summertime and did a YouTube video; I fancied stopping for a revisit. Thankfully the foliage in the graveyard wasn't as bad as it was last time. The window I chambered through last time is now boarded up but another one is currently open (How long for????). I'm not as flexible as I once was; those windows aren't easy to chamber through lol.
I was pleasantly surprised at the fact the church hasn't changed too much since my last visit; some places go downhill faster than a lead balloon but not this place so much.
It was only a short mooch round but was nice enough seeing the old girl again. It was only when I was back outside I realised I'd forgotten to go see the wood/coal storage area; I didn't fancy clambering back in/out again to see it.
