So yet another report on this classic but considering its on my doorstep it would be rude not to have visited it a few times over the years and give an up to date report on the excessive decay that the building has suffered over the last few years. Water damage being the main culprit but more recently the removal of any metal not secured to the floor by the local "do as you likeys".
Short History:
St. Peters Hospital was initially built to house the casualties of the Second World War. The mortuary was built in the 1940’s, but after much redevelopment in 2009 the mortuary closed and moved to the new building which is now central to the main hospital.
