History
Opened in 1961 on the site of the original wooden church built in 1902. The Venerable Archdeacon Arthur White , who had been St Peter's first curate in 1909, laid the foundation stone on 17th September 1960. The new church was consecrated on the 16th August 1961 by the then Bishop of Liverpool, Dr Clifford Martin. The church was closed in 2016 due to the Diocese being unwilling to fund the repairs the building required. The land has been sold to Wigan council and the building was demolished in November and is being replaced with flats for the rehabilitation of drug users.

Not to much to note about this place. Had to explore this while the local kids where inside but they where nice enough to us (even moving out of shots for us!). The place is long gone apparently heard it got demolished not long after we visited. The building was while modern had some interesting bits which made it a fun explore while in the area.
