Report - St Saviours Church, Bacup - May 15

I know its been done to death and wasn't gunna report it tbh but what the hell..

Abit of history:
Constructed in the mid 1860s to a design by Edward Wyndham Tarn, the church was Grade II listed in 1984 for its architectural and historical merit. In 1985 a single storey church hall was built at the west end of the town. Dwindling congregation numbers as well as high maintenance costs led to the church council seeking to close the building for public worship.
The Church held it's final service in October 2007 and the parish merged with Holy Trinity, Tunstead.

The visit:
Visited with a none member and after 2 failed attempts in recent times, it was our lucky day!! We spent around 40 minutes in the place without realizing it, only seemed like 10 but we Enjoyed the explore. It was different with a sense of holyness and certainly felt it knowing your in gods house instead of a derp thats been trashed. Being catholic myself i didnt hesitate to take a quick kneel at the alter with the sign of the cross.
