Report - Stannington ROC Post - NorthumberlandGroup 30/10/97

I am as sick as a bastard on Fathers Day, arrived at the Stannington ROC Post with a full set of Torlift keys made by the top fitter at work. However it soon became clear that thier could only be one winner in the battle between mild steel and the Torlift key.

Have posted a few pics of my visit. I would love to gain access to a ROC post and hear that the one in Ponteland is good so if any NE member would like to give me a tour please PM me (Can buy pints afterwards).

it was sold in 2003. looks like its been restored since subbrit visit, the shaft etc has been painted now. it looks in good nick back then so it must be a minter by now..

May I suggest that anyone visiting this site contacts the number given on the gate. I think that this is probably the best plan of action because to me it seems to be restored.

on another note, the post in ponteland is easy to find, and if you have one of those keys you took a picture of, it shouldnt be too hard to gain access

BTW. is one of those keys a "scottish" t-bar by any chance?

Don't go in here guys, it's clearly not abandoned. If you do go in, we don't want anything to do with it.
