Another for my recent project of finding social clubs...


Closed about a year ago, office on first floor burned apparently for insurance purposes.

Inside is virtually perfect other than water damage. Tables, bar furnishings, offices packed full of stuff, this place is mint! There were many signs of the clubs glory days, when it's meat raffle and bingo with huge prizes had the place packed full. It boasts three huge rooms... bar, billiards room and concert room with full stage and dressing rooms behind.

Wow what a time warp, sad to see the demise of the working man's club. Proper reminds me of my junior school days (early 80's) when we were drag around to various clubs by our dad given a bottle of coke a packet a crisps and a stack of 10p's for the arcade machine. Happy days
