Manchester meet - Whilst most went for a swim in some poo @Exxperious and I met up for some derping.. And man is Manchester good for that shit. Every road we drove down had an empty building, it's like pick and mix. So after hitting up a few classics we turned around and headed back down the road to take a look at Stretford Memorial Hospital.
Originally Basford House the large residence was owned by the Nuttall family who made their money as civil contractors. Their company was involved with engineering works assosiated with the Manchester ship canal, tunnels under the Thames and later building mulberry harbors.
In 1914 the house was handed to the Red Cross in memory of those who died in the First World War; since then had been a hospital, until it's closure in 2015.
