Haven’t posted for a while because I haven’t actually been out for an explore for ages (our house buy finally went through). Obviously @_motionlessinmike has done this one before cos he’s rinsed Derby but always nice to see another perspective:
Bit of history I’ve managed to find and some from Mike:
Tanglewood Mill is a site on Coke Street Derby. Planning permission was applied for in 2014 to convert the building into 22 apartments and five workstations. The site sold for £265,000 but still remains derelict 5 years later.
It was originally built in 1898 by the company J Bonas & Son to manufacture tape. “Then in the early 90's the building changed hands and was used by Rykneld Tean until 2003 when it was used as a furniture storage site.”
