History:
The alley was located in Chelmsford, Essex and opened in the early 1990's when the bowling centre first opened it was under the name of the Megabowl bowling alley opened in the building once home to the ‘Queensway Furniture Store’ after Queensway went bust but a change in ownership and it was re-named 'Tenpin'. There was talk of another new bowling alley going into the former BHS unit in The Meadows shopping centre but these plans changed earlier this year.

Rumors over the last few years were that the alley was in financial trouble,
A rival bowling alley opened up on the other side of Chelmsford in October 2016 which pushed business away from Tenpin as people refused to pay the prices and when Tenpin bowling formerly known as Megabowl as they charged much less. The alley reported it had shut at the end of July 2017, It was Announced back in march but without a fixed date of shutting, as tenpin emailed all their customers to let them know it was shutting down and that the nearest bowling alley would now be Colchester.

The explore:
After noticing this place had become derelict after being told by a friend. As it was so local we decided to go check it out. After sitting waiting in the car we noticed at least 4 different cars turn up in hope for a game of bowling only realizing it was shut. Then we made our move across the car park in into the alley. first stop the boiler room and what could of been the stockroom.

After wondering if we would be able to get in from here we found our self in a very dark room realizing it was the quasar part of the alley!

We decided to go straight into the alley and look round the quasar last.
Bar and kitchen and derpy toilets
