I drove passed this place on the way home from work and assumed it was part of the hospital due to its location, but after searching online it was a former workhouse and a union office.
Not much left inside, but some nice decay so headed back there with my camera.

History

A former workhouse and office block in Walsall that served as home for the Board of Guardians of Walsall Poor Law Union.
The building was constructed between 1898 and 1900 to oversee the Walsall’s Central Union Workhouse, the building has been empty for 15 years and is grade 2 listed.

It seems that every single pigeon in Walsall resides here, the building is littered with pigeon poo. Due to the building being on a main road outside of a hospital, I had no choice but to just go for it. Was here for around an hour with no issues.

May be stripped but that accentuates the amount of original features around still. And by the look of this, thats all of them. Great find. I adore the tiles and the old picture rail is quite nicely designed too. Lovely decay too.
