Henry Dennis founded the Hafod Brickworks in 1878 to capitalise on the reserves of Etruria Marl Clay found in the Ruabon area. Such was the popularity of its products - bricks, ridge tiles, chimney pots and the famous Ruabon quarry tile – it became known as the ‘Red Factory’.
Partial visit due to Kronaspan logging operations on site blocking ost of the buildings

Do like a bit of machinery. Shame other building were not accessible. Still a good explore though

Some nice images there. Wrecsam does seem to have more than it's share of dereliction...equally, some lovely little hamlets around the edges with barns full of old machinery that isn't quite abandoned.

Any pins on these barns of old machinery? Bit of a machinery enthusiast myself
