The great northern railway had 3 routes curving away from Queensbury station,
(one of 2 stations on a triangle junction another being Shipley) & 12 tunnels.

east to Bradford via Clayton with a length of 4 1/2 miles, opened 1878 & closed 1963,
passes through Clayton tunnel 1057 yds long.

south to Halifax via Holmfield with a length of 5 miles, opened 1878 & closed 1956,
passes through Queensbury tunnel 2501 yds long, Lee bank tunnel 267 yds long & Old lane tunnel 402 yds long.
There's a spur from Holmfield to St Pauls via Pellon with a length of 3 miles, opened 1890 & closed 1960.
passes through Wheatley tunnel 810 yds long.

Wheatley tunnel


north to Keighley via Denholme with a length of 11 miles, opened 1882 & closed 1963,
passes through Well Heads tunnel 662 yds long, Hamerhill tunnel 170 yds long, Denholme tunnel 140 yds long,
the 2 Doe park inverted arches 33 yds long & 112 yds long & Park Wood street tunnel 118 yds long.
