The Regent Theatre, Great Yarmouth, opened December 1914 as a Cine Variety Theatre and was designed by the architect Francis Burdett Ward and constructed by Crotch & Son.
The Theatre was taken over by Associated British Cinemas (ABC) in 1929. It closed as an ABC Cinema in 1982. It was then used by the Rank Group as a Mecca Bingo until closing in December 2011.
*** I visited as part of Heritage Open Days in September, the photos are from then. I had a look around the other day, electricity still on and alarm fully working***
