Hi Guys, this is my first report and first ever find. I was driving passed this place during work and looked over the rear wall. Hmmm, is there a way in. Anyway I walked around the rear and the door was wide open, i took a few quick pics with my iphone and returned with my camera and a mate later on. The results are shown below.
I've tried searching for some history to no avail, the pub has always been there before I was born and can only estimate that it was opened some time during the early 1920's and was a recreation place for a lot of miners in the area.
It closed in 2010 due to the increase in rates.:crazy
The former owner was taken to court due to noise,fighting and open until the early hours in the morning, just a good old fashioned pub. The current auction price online is £ 70,000.00
