On a very warm, sunny Easter Sunday myself and two friends ventured to South Devon to the Tides Reach Hotel.
Being 22C the beach was packed, we had parked up in the Pay & Display car park opposite and spent a few hours enjoying the sandy beach. Patiently waiting for beach-goers to head back home so that we could begin the explore.
The hotel is located right on the main road through the village.
Once the evening had drawn nearer; the the three of us decided to park up in the car park out front. Gaining entry was easier than first expected. The explore in total took us just over an hour, surprising for a relatively small property with many bedroom doors locked shut.
We spent time searching through all of the open rooms, not all rooms were open some were screwed shut. The rooms were mostly empty with some items of furniture left.
Many of the rooms had stunning views out towards the sea, this did make it easy for passers by to look in and see us.
The ground floor holds leisure facilities including Indoor Swimming Pool, Sauna, Snooker Room, Sports Hall. Graffiti is most prominent in the leisure areas. A small, white, locked safe is also on the ground floor.
On the third or fourth floor the lift had been called and left, now with the power off you can open the door on the floor and walk into lift. There are 2 main stair cases to all floors.
