With the A station here 99% seen and Uskmouth back generating myself and Cebby have been a little bit at locker heads over what to do next on the power station front. With the Kent pair assumed to be undergoing some kind of strip out George was keen to get down there and see them before they get any 'worse' but myself, having spent so long around Tilbury and not having seen a single shred of activity on the site in 6 months, thought it the prime time to do the B station before any influx of activity made it harder. In the end we settled for a bit of a compromise. As we were in the area this weekend we decided to give Tilbury a look, if only quick one to see it intact, and then return at a later date to see all the odds and ends possibly after they start to remove things, whenever that may happen!
I think its been over a year, maybe even two since i last saw people in here. It didn't appear much had changed at all.
This was slightly more modern but not as devoid of amazing signage and old skool touches as i had suspected, just a bit harder to photograph in the dark. The station is also virtually one big open space yet it was so deadly quiet at times all you could hear was the ticking of the pair of Gents central time clocks every 30sec.. As the Daily Mail would say... eerie!
