Seeing as this tunnels on my doorstep im here quite alot to walk the dogs or if i just want abit of piece and quiet. Anyway after many visits and taking photos through the gates, i noticed someone had kindly cut through a couple of the slats on the gate....perfect opportunity to grab some pics inside.
West portal with its gates and 'falling masonary' signs although i think theyve been put there to deter people from going in.
Rather dry inside and still has its ballast. Its slightly damp at the end the road passes over though.
Alot of moss adorns the roof for the entire 333yds.
Theres some dangerous animals in these lincolnshire tunnels.... Joking... Sparky the dog quite enjoys exploring with us.
One of the many symmetrical refuges for such a short tunnel and in very good condition. some weren't as good.
looking back towards or way in.
I've got many pics from this tunnel i'll dig out and post when i find them.
Thanks for looking.
