Back to Industry for todays throwback. Got a tip off about this from Lillimouse so me and Sinnerman headed down to check it out without really knowing what to expect. Finding a way in proved tricky but once we were in we realised that the inital part of the mill we were in was still in use as some newspapers had dates less than a month old!

Tone Mill in Wellington is the last woollen mill in the West Country, with a priceless collection of original machinery still in place in the wet finishing works. The site is of European significance.

Fantastic to see some photos of the place early on, one of my all-time favourites. A real crime how such a well preserved and rare survival has been left to rot at the mercy of metal thieves and chavs for so long. That's said it's faired far better then it would have if located in just about anywhere else in England under the same circumstances!

One of the absolute all time greats. On my first visit in 2011 or 2012 I forget, it looked not too unlike it does here but I've been back numerous times since and its in such a bad way now.

Some lovely bits of old industrial equipment there. Spindles, and such. Another great set. :thumb
