History stolen from @The Amateur Wanderer

Tullis Russell was formed in 1809 by Robert Tullis. This coal-fired power station was built in 1912-1914 with three Parsons turbines. A bit later, a larger and more modern Parsons unit and an English Electric system were added. Apparently, it was deemed too dirty after breeching EU emission regulations and was forced to close, being replaced by the new biomass plant on site.

The explore comprised a straightforward yet fun access and only about an hour inside because it was starting to get light. It's clear that the place is still being checked daily.

Buzzin, nice to see somebody else has been here!

Probably one of, if not the nicest station in the UK that's doable right now in my opinion...

Apart from the new biomass plant whole place is closed now. The rest just isn't quite as simple to get in. Hopefully i can do some more when i go back up there next. Its got a lot to offer but you know what scotland's like, all smoke and mirrors!

Good to see an update DK!
