Tunstall Pool
Visited with @UrbandonedTeam
Tunstall Baths has already got a few great reports found here: Terminal Decline's Report, raisinwing's Report and Shaun's Report. They all cover the history of the site and I won’t bore you with it again. After @Shaun ’s more recent report we marked it down for one to check when in the area and tick it off the list.
Upon our visit we didn’t intend to report it and just hold our pictures. We arrived and were greeted to an alarm inside the pool that was extremely loud. It wasn’t until we went to grab our pics of the reception that we made a discovery we weren’t aware of. 'A' found out that the lights still worked, and it hasn’t been covered with them on to date. This location has been getting a fair bit of attention on Facebook and Instagram and has yet to be posted with the lights on. It would be interesting to see if any new posts with the lights on suddenly appear on social media after this.
All in all, it was a nice explore both times round and nice to see it in a different light, no pun intended.
Shot from the opposite end of the pool.
In the pool.
Stairs leading to the spectator balcony.
Education office.
We headed back to the reception area to get our photos of the remaining areas/rooms.
Gym.
Kitchen.
Meeting room.
That's all, thanks for looking!
