Well, I told myself I wouldn't post a report on this as I didn't think it was all that, however, who am I to say...
I got a PM from 'Lock1999' back in October telling me about these tanks that had been on his to-do list for a while but were too far away.
In his words... "The history is one 4000 ton tank was destroyed in WW2 and the depot was replaced with a new one at Purton."
Whilst Markymark and I were there we found two underground tanks and several above-ground buildings. Sadly all the buildings were locked up tight and so was one of the tanks. The open tank was fairly interesting though... however we couldn't go very far in as it was fairly flooded and neither of us packed for the wet stuff!
I think I left my photography skills at home that day too!!...
