My first time exploring a mausoleum/crypt. Was given the location of this via a friend whilst in the area. Such a beautiful building, disappointing to see people decided to graffiti the inside.. WHY?Set deeply in the woods our walk down was quite enjoyable. Access is self explanatory..

History -

Originally built in the 1870s for the Assheton-Smith family who owned the Vaynol estate and the Dinorwic slate quarries. Thomas Assheton-Smith and members of his family buried here including Captain Robert George Duff are buried here. Is a grade 2 listed building.
