Having driven past this place so many times, we decided to pay a visit. Cannot find too much history really, but obviously it was a family pub in the country, it closed in 2011 due to fire damage, it was also called 'the potters lodge' until a local farmer bought it and renamed it back to the wagon and horses. I know someone who worked there many years ago, and offered a suggestion that the owner had a few financial issues just before the pub set on fire. I'm in no way speculative of what may have happened, it was obvious once inside a fire had ripped through one of the back bedrooms. Lots of buts and bobs left, a few personal bits and a plethora of Christmas stuff!
