Waggon & Horses closed following a reported arson attack in June 2011, after forced entry and multiple fire sources were found upstairs. The fire occurred on a Monday, when it was closed.
Food, fine wine, real ale and guest beers were on the menu. There was monthly live music, two pet donkeys, two pigs and a sheep, all which were safely moved to a neighbouring field when the fire was spotted.
The earliest known record of the pub is from 1818. There are modern extensions to the building and the pub was refurbished after new owners took over in 2009.
Not much has changed since my first visit in March. The outside looks more worn and the roof looks to have dropped a bit more, which isn't surprising considering the heavy rain and winds this year.
