Wath New Quarry - North Yorkshire Feb 14
Some History
There are two quarries near to the village of Hovingham Spa, North Yorkshire. Wath old quarry has been disused for many years, and some records suggest that the newer quarry opened up in the 1970's. It produced limestone, and in particular dressed, lump and crushed stone, plus agricultural lime. Here is a report from Zero81's report about Wath Old quarry here):

3. Following a review by current owners Lafarge, in August 2013 production stopped at the Limestone quarry, it currently lies mothballed, but there are some interesting little bits to see, and lots of hares, I mean, lots!
Still quite a lot of machinery left:

I always thought that there was a c*nt in Scunthorpe, now I know:
