Built in 1806, was formaly a house owned by the Wells family, at the end of that century it was brought by a new family who added and changed it into a boarding school for boys, one of the pupils was a James Simon Wallis Hunt, British racing driver from England who won the Formula One World Championship in 1976.
Later in years it was converted to take mix pupils and a creche was added.
The School has stayed in the same family and is still owned by them to this day, the old headmistress still lives next door.
Closed in 2005 because they simply could not keep up with costs, one of them being a new eighty thousand pound roof, currently up for sale for 4.5 million the school sits in ten acres of grounds.
