westerleigh school sits on a 10.5 acre site and was founded in 1906 but was not always a school it was once a manor house built in the early 1800s, it was owned by two different families up untill 1930 when it was bought by the wheeler family who later turned it into the school and still own it today, mr and mrs wheeler being the head teachers. before closing it catered for 360 pupils and over 40 teachers, one of the pupils was F1 star james hunt. as for the condition of the place i thought it was one of the most pikey free explores ive done, kids have been in there and thrown stuff around and painted the walls but no pipes or lead missing, the place is patroled by the owners who live next door.
