This building has a total floorspace of 142,500 sq,ft, and was once home to Wildt Mellor Bromley knitting machinery works ,founded in 1884
they were one of the largest manufacturers of knitting machines in the world. Like most of leicesters large manufacturing times got hard in the 1970s
with cheap imports some costing £1000 less from europe. We noticed the middle floor had started to be converted into flats, but with no signs of recent work that process has come to a stop for some unknown reason. At the front of the building is the main attraction, a large/tall octagon shaped room with a dome ceiling.
