;Today me, @Emil and @Luke vaughan visited the old eye infirmary in Wolverhampton since I was in the area. I have never explored the west midlands area so this being my first explore here I am pretty happy. Coming up to this building i couldn't believe the sheer size of it. Massive!
Little background about this building:
The historic building on Compton Road has been empty for eleven years, but is still owned by the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust.
Lately there has been court cases with the NHS ans the council because the NHS has yet to move out of the building and clear it after 11 years.
This building was built in 1887.
It has now been took over by the homeless people (probably not legally haha)
Our events went like so....
We arrived at the place at around midday and had to wait for a clear spot when the road was clear of Saturday match goers (wolves fans). We got in without hassle of any people. We got inside the building and started filming and taking photos. Halfway through the explore we started hearing banging noises, something like a hammer. Luke, who's been here multiple told us that there a men living in the loft of the building. The banging was very weird however, we decided to not think anything of it and carried on like true warriors.
The whole explore went pretty smoothly with no hiccups apart from a full 6 metres of corridor that had been burned down on one of the floors which limited our explore. We couldn't get into the wards however either because they had been fully boarded up. I enjoyed it nonetheless and would recommend it to anyone in the area , before the council inevitably pull it down.
To conclude I have some photos of the place and there will be a video up in the next 24 hours on youtube. Thankyou for reading
