Intro- On a rare sunny morning in Glasgow I decided to take a trip down to one of Glasgow's best preserved and well known abandoned stations. I started out at the ventilation shafts and then made my way towards the abandoned Kirklee Station, and then onto towards Botanic Garden Station and through to Kelvinbridge. Once I reached Kelvinbridge I decided to leave the tunnel there rather than go back to Kirklee, I also imagine I gave a local office worker the fright of their life lol

The History-

Kelvinbridge Station-
The line entered the station site in the south east corner passing under Gibson Street next to the River Kelvin and ran alongside the east side of the river until reaching the north west corner when it crossed the river prior to passing under Caledonian Crescent where the station building was located. The goods yard was located to the east of the line, and was converted to a Park and Ride Car Park as part of the Glasgow Subway modernisation in 1976-1979.
