Report - British Extracting Silos, Hull - January 2009 -

Visited with Squirrell911.

In and out job really. The cement yard next door was busy which reduced our options a bit, so it's straight up to the top for the good stuff...

Apart from the view, the main event is the carriages for unloading product (?) into the silos. This consists of carriages that would be locked into place, then a conveyor running an 'S' shape through the carriage would unload into a chute and into the silos...

you really brought the place to life - its only when the machines are described to the viewer we an truly appreciate them

nice pictures, good to see more pictures of the workings in the attic. I love the BE mill, its ladder just keeps calling me back.
