For those of you not aware the garrison at Colchester has been undergoing a major redevelopment for the past few years. Ive been checking out parts without much sucess but now more and more is becoming vacent good stuff is starting to turn up.
Vast areas of the town are now abandoned and athough in true military style alot is well stripped or well secured, my forays today proved there are some real gems to be found!
First we will have a look at the old garrisons swimming pool. Not huge but utterly mint, power still connected, they even still have the heaters running! It sits on the south side of Abby Fields ajoined to a gymnasium which unfortunaly has eluded me so far. A good mix of old and new. Oppertunist
