Credit to Nickindroy who tipped me off about this site! Ta fella!
I have searched and searched for info on this building only to find very little!
So I looked up the companies listed on plaques dotted around the place; most left in November of 2013, some relocated but most vanished! There had been Textiles, Antiques and Drill manufacturing companies and they upped and left leaving a Marie Celeste style legacy! There was Failsworth air gun club on the top floor along with trophies, member pics and gas canisters!
I found bathroom fixings in the old loading bay and full office peripherals on the higher floors! I'm guessing the lack of history is because it has not actually closed long enough to be historic?
On entering the place, the sound of echo's indicated the size - especially in the cellars. I heard footsteps too but no one materialised! Undeterred I continued on my search of the building and tried not to leave any areas out. Hence I was in there for 2 1/2 hours!
Lots of damp floors, broken windows and the odd pigeon but still a few surprises!
Plant room!
In the cellars:
Posters!
If you fancy a different kind of tinkle!
Former engine room
Steps??
Belting!
Drill maker? Boring if you ask me! Bah boom tish!
More machines!
Air gun club - and the best place to be!
Flakey paint and water collection tarpaulins - that failed!
By the old phone transmitter!
It's over here!!
Where not to walk!
Office! One of many trashed ones!
Dancing in the dark?
Engine room overhead crane and conveyor!
Outside!
Long shot!
