Evenin all. Been a while.
Wasnt sure if it was worth a report this place at first, but looking back at the pics and researching the place i thought i might as well. It dont appear to have been mentioned on here yet either.
After a brief whatsapp chat with @lou2209 and an hour or so to kill , it was decided that it might be worth a look here.
History.......
Not a massive amount of history on this place online until it all kicked off with Lidl/Landowner/Occupier.
Fitness first closed its doors along with PSL Bowling on may 31st 2017 after being served notice by the landowner who was planning on selling the land to Lidl to build another supermarket on. Meanwhile, Lidl were in the process of having their planning permission revoked after a public outcry over the loss of a leisure facility to the supermarket. There was also an issue with a electrical substation located behind the site which would have caused a problem during demolition.
Lidl put up the boards around the perimeter in June and it now stands empty.
https://superstirchley.wordpress.com :- "Lidl has so far been branded high handed, cavalier, disgraceful and crude over the stirchley store plan. "
The homepage of the bowling alley also makes a good read. www.pslbowling.co.uk
Explore....
As said above, it was decided to have a look around, see how accessible it was. Turned out it was pretty much a walk in.
Totally stripped inside, apart from a the odd bowling ball and pin. There were a few bits of interest tho . Its starting to show signs of visits from various people with a few smashed windows etc but very little graffiti . We saw a group entering as we were leaving.
Im being a bit pic happy again , for which i apologize , but seeing as its not been covered before and is not yet totally trashed im hoping to get away with it lol.
