This is my first report on this forum, so hopefully its alright. Pirate asked me to do a report on the abandoned Folkestone Harbour Ferry terminal, which was once a popular crossing for foot passengers going to and from France. The ferry terminal closed in 2000 (I believe) and trains ceased running to the train station in 2007, with the last actual train being in 2007.
Hopefully I haven't overdone it with photos, I took upwards of 600 photos in total, about 400 of the ferry terminal alone, so I found it really hard to narrow done a select few photos to share on here - I have literally hundreds more photos of the Folkestone train station and ferry terminal - I managed to get into all the buildings, tunnels, walkways, rooms, etc, so if anyone wants to see more just holla at me and I'll do some more reports.
Unfortunately by some strange coincidence the ferry terminal was literally demolished a week later, so I was probably the last person to go in the building and almost definitely the last to document it, quite a niche feeling.
Sorry if the File sizes are massive :sad or not great quality, I was not expecting to get access to any of the off-limits areas, let alone all of them. the area was rife with fishermen and construction workers (who enforce the off limits rule), came close to being caught so many times, so a lot of the photos are rushed. Some of the rooms were extremely dark too, so I just took what I could given the situation
Demolished a week later, such a shame. Grateful to have managed to get in there when I did.
