Just finished a superb book, thought I'd pass it on. Not terribly new-- 2005 -- but I haven't seen it mentioned on here.
Subterranean Cities: The World Beneath Paris and London, 1800-1945 by David Pike.
Quite an academic tome, but worth the occasional slog! Some really interesting stuff in here, and fabulous illustrations.
