I visited this hall/large house assuming there was going to be no entry, luckily for me this was not the case! Let me give you a little history:

Hainford hall aka Hainford house is a grade 2 listed 18th century mansion. The house comprises of 14 bedrooms and sits on 13 acres of land. It was once a family home and had beautiful gardens surrounding it

During the Second World War Hainford Hall was requisitioned by the military and it is thought the army used the rooms as offices.
Hainford hall was then left abandoned in 1948.

Eventually it was purchased and the land it sat on was used to run a family salvage yard business. While being used as a breaker's yard, the back of the building completely fell off but has been covered up.
In 2013 a fire broke out at the car scrap yard, sending plumes of smoke into the air.
At its peak the fire, which involved about 60 cars, had 45 firefighters in attendance with billowing black smoke visible from as far away as County Hall in Norwich.
There was no investigation into the fire.

Now Hainford Hall just sits behind it’s rusty gates all alone and crying out for love and attention! It was beautiful to see it! I feel privileged! Anyway enjoy the pics!

Good report. Some really nice features in there. Really shows its age. I love manors where the wooden shutters are still on the windows. Reminds me of my childhood growing up with them.:thumb

A van came in through the gates with two patrol people in it, so we had to make a quick exit. I spoke to another explorer and the place has cameras from the house nearby watching the site 24 hours. So I’m guessing they reported us being there, you were super lucky x

The family that own the hall also own the house next door and the man who rents there will often call the owners if he sees anyone around. The owners then call upon a couple of local hainford lads to come and kick anyone out with threats to call the police. You’re lucky you got in. I did this one a couple of years back but security has been tighter since they’ve tried to auction it off,
